    • What is Walk With Walgreens?

      The Walk with Walgreens website is an online community created to bring wellness into people’s lives through education, inspiration and rewards. Members will be encouraged by host Ali Sweeney, expert contributors and fellow members to walk their way to health through daily posts about benefits of walking, nutrition, gear, community events, and more! Participants will be given tools to log their walks and track their progress, while earning rewards and reaching their personal goals.

    • How do I participate?

      Watch, read, and interact with the daily posts.

      Visit the website to view videos, photos, and blogs posted by Walk With Walgreens and other users highlighted on the site. You can check their profile pages, send them messages, and interact with them just like you would on a social network like Facebook or MySpace. To get started, visit Walk With Walgreen’s profile and say hello!

    • What else can I do on the website?

      Create a profile and meet new friends.

      The daily posts on the homepage of Walk with Walgreens are just the beginning. Sign Up for a profile page, and make new friends. Get involved on the site by participating in the forum. The Forum gives you a place to talk about any topics you would like to know about on Walk With Walgreens. Use that space to interact with other members, ask questions, and become a part of the Walk with Walgreens community.

      Submit your Walks

      Walgreens wants you walking, and Walk with Walgreens wants to hear about those walks. On your profile, you can track and submit your daily and weekly walks, and share your walks with the community.

      Earn Rewards

      Your participation on Walk with Walgreens will earn you fun badges and cool coupons for great products. Commenting on posts, uploading walks and sharing your updates with others will get you on your way to rewards!

  • SIGN UP/LOG IN QUESTIONS
    • How do I join the Community?

      To join the community you will need to register for a profile. There are two ways to register, depending on the type of email address you have.

      If you have a YAHOO, GMAIL, AOL or MSN email address:

      1. Click the ‘SIGN UP’ button located in the upper right hand corner of the site, or in the rectangular bar at the bottom of the screen.
      2. Enter your email address and click the ‘NEXT’ button.
      3. You will see an option to login to your personal email address as a way to sign up for a Walk with Walgreens profile. Click the ‘GO NOW’ button.
      4. A window will appear, allowing you to login to your YAHOO, GMAIL, AOL, or MSN email address.
      5. Once you have logged in, the window will disappear and the website will reload, taking you to our registration page.
      6. Fill out your Name, Age, Gender, City, State, and Country.
      7. Add a profile avatar (this is optional).
      8. Click the ‘JOIN’ button. You now have a profile and are ready to start participating in the Community!

      If you don't have a YAHOO, GMAIL, AOL, or MSN email address:

      1. Click the ‘SIGN UP’ button located in the upper right hand corner of the site, or in the rectangular bar at the bottom of the screen.
      2. Enter your email address and click the ‘NEXT’ button.
      3. In the next window, click the option ‘SIGN UP’.
      4. Choose a site password, confirm the password and then press the ‘NEXT button.
      5. A confirmation email will be sent to your email address. Click the activation link contained in the email, and you will be redirected back to Walk with Walgreens.
      6. The website will load, taking you to our registration page.
      7. Fill out your Name, Age, Gender, City, State, and Country.
      8. Add a profile avatar (this is optional).
      9. Click the ‘JOIN’ button. You now have a profile and are ready to start participating in the Community!
    • How do I login to my Walk With Walgreens profile?

      There are two ways to login, depending on the type of email address you used to register.

      If you registered with a YAHOO, GMAIL, AOL or MSN email address:

      1. Click the ‘LOGIN’ button located in the upper right hand corner of the site, or in the rectangular bar at the bottom of the screen.
      2. Enter your email address and click the ‘NEXT’ button.
      3. You will see an option to login to your personal email address as a way to Login to Walk with Walgreens. Click the ‘GO NOW’ button.
      4. A window will appear, allowing you to login to your YAHOO, GMAIL, AOL, or MSN email address.
      5. Once you have logged in, the window will disappear and the website will reload. You will now be logged into Walk with Walgreens.

      If you did not register with a YAHOO, GMAIL, AOL, or MSN email address:

      1. Click the ‘LOGIN’ button located in the upper right hand corner of the site, or in the rectangular bar at the bottom of the screen.
      2. Enter your email address and click the ‘NEXT’ button.
      3. Type in your site password and then press the ‘NEXT button.
      4. The site will reload and you will now be logged into Walk with Walgreens.
  • PROFILE QUESTIONS
    • How do I add friends?

      To add a user as a friend, go to the user’s profile and click the ‘ADD TO FRIENDS’ button, located to the right of your friend's avatar, just under the user’s name. Once they have accepted your Friend Request, they will be added to your profile.

    • How do I connect my Facebook account to my Walk With Walgreens profile?
      1. If you would like to send your Walk with Walgreens profile status updates to Facebook, or share your Walk with Walgreens profile updates on your Facebook page, you need to first create a Facebook account and then connect that account to your profile on Walk with Walgreens. Set up a Facebook account at www.Facebook.com. If you already have a Facebook account, please skip this step.
      2. Log on to Walk with Walgreens and go to your profile.
      3. Choose the option ‘Manage Account’ in the right-hand column.
      4. Click the ‘UPDATE’ button to move to the Connect & Share window.
      5. Click the ‘CONNECT NOW’ button underneath the Facebook option, and then follow the connection steps to connect your Facebook account.
    • How do I connect my Twitter account to my Walk With Walgreens profile?
      1. If you would like to send your Walk with Walgreens profile status updates to Twitter, you need to first create a Twitter account and then connect that account to your profile on Walk with Walgreens. Set up a Twitter account at www.Twitter.com. If you already have a Twitter account, please skip this step.
      2. Log on to Walk with Walgreens and go to your profile.
      3. Choose the option ‘Manage Account’ in the right-hand column.
      4. Click the ‘UPDATE’ button to move to the Connect & Share window.
      5. Click the ‘CONNECT NOW’ button underneath the Twitter option, and then follow the connection steps to connect your Facebook account.
    • How do I post a Note to my profile page?

      Notes are similar to a private blog, allowing you a place to share your thoughts in post form. Only users who are your friend will have access to read your Notes.

      1. In the Notes section of your profile click the "Add a new note" option.
      2. Type in the Title of your note.
      3. Type your Note in the section marked “Note Content.”
      4. Click "SAVE to your notes" to save your Note to your profile.
      5. Once you have saved your Note, you can click on the Note to see options for sharing your Note on Facebook and/or Twitter.
  • WALKS
    • How do I submit a Walk?
      1. In the Walks section of your profile, click the ‘Log Your Walk’ option.
      2. Name your walk and choose a category for your walk, from a list provided to you.
      3. Next you will enter your step count (NOTE: the system allows you to enter a maximum of 100,000 steps per day). This can be done in two different ways:
        • If you wore a pedometer or you just like to count your steps, you can manually enter your step count and see your total distance.
        • You can plot your walk on a map by entering your starting location into a Google Map, and then dropping pins in various spots on your walk. We will then provide for you an estimated step count.
      4. Describe your walk. Tell us about your surroundings, the weather, what you saw, how you felt, what music you listened to, and anything else you want to share about your walk!
      5. Tag your walk with keywords that describe your walk, i.e. “scenic” “dog park” “dirt road”
      6. Choose the difficulty of your walk, by selecting an option from a drop down menu.
      7. Finally, Save your walk to your profile, or Save & Submit your Walk to your profile, to share your walk with the community!
    • What if I walked more than maximum number of steps allowed per day?

      That would be wonderful! We hope you are exercising that much, and encourage you to continue challenging yourself. Our system only allows up to 100,000 steps per walk, so go ahead and add another walk!

    • What if I am a jogger? Can I still log my steps?

      Absolutely! Jogging is another healthy form of exercise, and brings with it all the same benefits of walking. Simply count your steps and log them in the same as you would a walk.

    • How do I add a photo to my Walk?
      1. In the 3rd Step of the Log a Walk form, click the button that says “ATTACH PHOTO OR VIDEO”
      2. Select the Photo option, and then click “NEXT.”
      3. If you have already connected a Facebook, Flickr or Picasa account, please skip this step. If you have not connected a photo service, please click the option marked “CONNECT.” Choose the service you would like to connect, and then follow the steps provided to link the account with your Walk with Walgreens profile.
      4. Once you have established a photo-based connected service, select the one that contains the image you would like to add to your Walk. All photos listed in your Facebook/Flickr/Picasa account will populate. You can choose to browse through all your photos, or a specific album of photos. (NOTE: Please make sure the privacy settings are set to ‘Public’ or the community will not be able to view your photo.)
      5. If you would like to use an image that is not already on a photo-based connected service, please click the option marked “UPLOAD NEW PHOTO…” and then follow the steps provided to upload your photo to both your service of choice and your Walk.
      6. Click the image you would like to attach to your Walk, and then click “FINISH.”
    • How do I add a video to my Walk?
      1. In the 3rd Step of the Log a Walk form, click the button that says “ATTACH PHOTO OR VIDEO.”
      2. Select the Video option, and then click “NEXT.”
      3. If you have already connected a Facebook or YouTube account, please skip this step. If you have not connected a video service, please click the option marked “CONNECT.” Choose the service you would like to connect, and then follow the steps provided to link the account with your Walk with Walgreens profile.
      4. Once you have established a video-based connected service, select the one that contains the video you would like to add to your Walk. All videos listed in your Facebook/YouTube account will populate. (NOTE: Please make sure the privacy settings are set to ‘Public’ or the community will not be able to view your photo.)
      5. If you would like to use a video that is not already on a video-based connected service, please click the option marked “UPLOAD NEW VIDEO…” and then follow the steps provided to upload your video to both your service of choice and your Walk.
      6. Click the video you would like to attach to your Walk, and then click “FINISH.”
  • COUPON FAQ
    • I see an error message that says “We’re sorry, but this offer has already been used the maximum number of times”. What should I do?

      This means that you’ve exhausted your attempts to print the coupon. If this has happened in error, please contact us at walgreens@support.eqal.com so we can assist your further.

    • I see another error message when I try to print my coupon. What should I do?

      Please contact us at walgreens@support.eqal.com so we can assist your further.

    • I printed a blank page instead of a coupon. What should I do?

      Try a new web browser (i.e. If you are using Internet Explorer, please try Mozilla Firefox).

    • I see a page that says “Please click on the coupon itself or the button the reads “click to print” to print the coupon.” What should I do?

      Click on the words that read “CLICK TO PRINT” instead of selecting File-Print in the browser.

    • I see a red X instead of a coupon. What should I do?

      Try a new web browser (i.e. If you are using Internet Explorer, please try Mozilla Firefox).

    • I cannot click on the words that read “CLICK TO PRINT”. What should I do?

      Ensure that javascript is enabled for your web browser. You can do this in your web browser’s settings tab.

    • Printing Tips

      After you attempt to print each coupon two times, you will no longer be able to print. Please follow the instructions below clearly to ensure that you will be able to print your coupons.

      Additionally, each coupon has a unique barcode and can only be used in-store once. Photocopies will not work.

      1. Please make sure your printer is turned on, has ink/paper and is connected to your computer before attempting to print.
      2. The coupons are set to work with Internet Explorer or Firefox browsers. The coupons will not open properly or print from a mobile phone.
      3. Once you click the link to get your coupons, you will be taken to a page where you will see a preview of the coupon with a banner across it that reads “CLICK TO PRINT”.
      4. Click that banner one time only and then you will see your print options box open for you so that you can print your coupon.
      5. The coupon is accessible only through this process. You will not be able to save a copy prior to printing or use the File-Print option from your browser menu.
      6. If you print a blank page or a page with an error message, please contact us so we can assist you further..
  • FORUM QUESTIONS
    • How do I start a discussion?
      1. Log on to Walk with Walgreens, and click the Forum button.
      2. Click on the Category that fits the conversation you would like to start.
      3. Click the ‘Start a discussion’ option.
      4. Type in the Discussion title and write the description in the box marked ‘This discussion is about...’.
      5. Click ‘SUBMIT’ to launch your Discussion Thread.
    • What is the Forum Behavior Policy?

      The Forum Behavior Policy is a list of ten rules every user most follow if they participate in the Forum. Here are the rules:

      1. The Golden Rule is Golden for a reason. Please be nice. Attacks, insults and/or harassment of other users will result in a warning; repeated violations will result in immediate deactivation.

      2. Conversation and Debate are good, so please engage others instead of shutting them down because they do not agree with you.

      3. Trolling, Hate Speech, Adult Content and Excessive Foul Language will NOT be tolerated. You get one warning; repeated violations will result in immediate deactivation. No Exceptions! If you find offensive content on the site, please flag it, and the Site Administrator will look into the problem.

      4. SPAM is bad. Please refrain from partaking in it. Advertising of third party services or websites, unless authorized by us in advance, is not allowed.

      5. Advertising personal blogs is allowed, in moderation. A link or two is fine, but please refrain from flooding the Forum. Links shared should be relevant to the post on which you are commenting.

      6. Please try to stay on-topic. Unrelated conversations should be moved to a NEW thread, to preserve the purpose of the original thread.

      7. Please do not cross post the same comment in multiple Forum threads. Once you have posted your opinion, it has been posted. There is no need to repost elsewhere.

      8. Do not post in all capital letters. It is not good forum ethics to do so, as it is difficult to read, and can be perceived by many as shouting.

      9. When posting a new thread, please choose a section that is appropriate for your topic. If your thread is posted in the wrong area, it can and will be moved.

      10. If you have a problem with another user, for whatever reason, please email us: HERE.

    • How do I report spam or offensive or abusive content/users?

      If you feel a user’s discussion post or uploaded content is in violation of the Behavior Policy, you can click the ‘FLAG’ option to inform a Moderator, who will review the issue.

    • How do I report a bug?

      If you notice any problems with the website, please send an email to walgreens-support@eqal.com and we'll do our best to correct the problem as rapidly as possible.

    • I can't login using Mac Safari?

      If you are using the Safari browser to participate on Walk with Walgreens, and are experiencing difficulties logging in or logging your Walks, this could be due to your browser not accepting Cookies. To fix this, please follow these steps:

      1. Click the Safari option at the top of the browser.
      2. Click to view your Preferences.
      3. Go to the Security tab.
      4. Change your Accept Cookie settings to "Always".
      5. Close your browser, and then re-open and login.
