Walk with Walgreens
Walking Away Your Stress

Along with clearing my mind from the rigors of the day before, I usually have time on my walk to organize my upcoming day. My alone time also allows me to think through issues and create probable solutions. I find I benefit both mentally and physically from my walks and have been doing such for so many years (15+ years) I feel like something is lacking if I miss the daily experience.

I agree--any kind of exercise is a wonderful stress-reducer, and walking really gives you a chance to clear your head and calm down a bit.

I use a walking (DVD).  This DVD pushes you (I use hand and leg weights).  It is a three mile walk.  I use the walking (DVD) - twice a day), However, I DON"T use hand and leg weights with the second walk.  It puts me in a very GOOD MOOD for the whole day.  When I am using this walking (DVD) my thoughts are on trying to maintain the pace the instructor (on the DVD) is setting!  Exercise is a wonderful stress-reducer!

Everyone in the family knows that I need my daily walk to get my dose of endorphins.  Then I can handle all of their issues and problems with a calmer demeanor.  I find that I have to do my walks outdoors and not on a treadmill. The effect is totally different.

I clear my mind on all my outside walks: hills and the beach!

Walking makes me feel good. Makes my dog happy and keeps her out of the trash. It is our time to bond. It makes me love the city I live in. It is my time to take control of the pace, the direction, and just Go.... ( :

When I walk I'm trying to relax and not think about work or anybody that will stress me out.  Walking do clear my mind.
