Happy Friday all! Friday (if you count it as part of the weekend), after work, I will be hitting Signal Hill for a nice and easy hike about 3 miles with only one short hill.  On Saturday,  I will be walking Signal Hill for 6 miles (four major hills).  On Sunday, I will walk Bluff Park for 3 miles after a round of golf (walking 18 holes at the Navy Golf Course).  It's a three day weekend: if Monday if part of the weekend, then I will also be walking in Huntington Beach!

Enjoy your weekend as I know I will enjoy mine. JUST GET OUT!

I'm going to do double days this weekened! Yogo in the morning, walking for an hour in the evening on both Saturday and Sunday! smiley-laughing.gif

Some of us have a long weekend, I for one have a four day weekend and plan to walk outside as much as I can.  Mostly around the neighborhood with the dog.  I hope Mother Nature cooperates here in NY and holds off on the wet, cold weather for the rest of the winter.  :D

It's my friend's 21st b-day so we'll probably be dancing the night away. Then, I'll have to walk a mile Saturday and Sunday to burn off the calories from helping her celebrate. I also plan on doing some yoga videos this weekend. I love that HULU has yoga videos now!

I love my pedometer from Walgreens!  Wearing it everyday encourages me to take those extra steps.  I now park further away just so that I can exceed my daily goals.  It's great!  smiley-cool.gif

Walking everyday.  Weekends are more hectic for me but.....I try to get my walk in everyday.  Goal is to "walk everyday".  Keep it up so that it becomes a "great" habit.

Hello,

Walgreen's Walking Members

Located near home, I plan to walk the marina's short trial which is about 1000 steps --- this is also part of my goals set with the "Walgreen's Marina/Community Walkers Group" that's held on Saturdays  smiley-smile.gif

Well, this weekend I only have Sunday off from work but my goal is to walk or hike 5 miles on Sunday.  I just went back to work after being out on a major medical leave for the last 11 months and it’s been hard to keep up with my walking so I have only averaged 2.6 miles per day this week.  I need to make the most out of my days off and I need to take more walk breaks at work.  Wish me luck!

One of my golden retrievers has recently had TPLO surgery. This is a long recouperation and I have spent the last five weeks as a dog therapist/physical trainer. Hadn't realized what intense work this entails and tough on my back and steps/day. As it has been rainy we have been doing lots of walks inside the house plus the figure eights and doggie squats, etc. Roaming the house playing Star Wars with a four year old has certainly added interest and made it a game for the furry boys, too. Hoping for sunshine so we can hit more hills plus trips to the Y! Enjoy your weekend!

Walking outside in the neighborhood.  Cold air makes you walk faster!  I already walked on Friday and will walk both Saturday and Sunday.

I will do the same formal walks that I always do. My overall goal is to take at least 10,000 steps every day; most of those steps come from general activity, not from the formal walks.

Just returned from a 2.2 mile walk with my husband through our community.  Beautiful morning but storm coming in tonight after midnight.  Expecting 2" of rain in Coastal Carolina.  Have to get another walk in this afternoon.

Well, I just started today and went on my first walk. It was great! My goal is to get at least one walk in a day, preferably with my dog! I think it's neat that Walgreen's has created a forum for this. smiley-smile.gif
