How long do I have to walk to burn off that whole grain bagle and light cream cheese?
I lost a lot of weight 2006-2008 with Weight Watchers and have been keeping it off with a lof of focus... But that bagle is more like a meal in my day not a snack...So I would take a walk after one of my meals or a planned snack of maybe fruit, 94%FF popcorn, a chocolite protein bat or a vita top muffin... Or one of my yummy homeade snack recipes... Eating that bagle and walking 30 min... Would take me backwords ;o(
i was a little shocked myself when read that post with that picture! i thought breads weren't really good for you.
I agree. a picture of oatmeal would have been a much better choice.

Walking at 3 mph burns about 5 calories/minute according to shapeup.org. This snack would take 90 minutes to walk off, minimum.
I agree with the group. I do not think bread or a BAGEL is a healthy choice. I like to carry a small bag of mixed nuts with me. I also agree that an oatmeal picture would be a better choice for us. WALK ON! I think I will go for a walk as that picture added 5 pounds just thinking of it!
Well, as for the bagel, it does look to be whole grain so this is a much better option than eating a "white" bagel. Maybe, eating just half of it would suffice for the healthy aspect of the "healthy conscious" minds

I eat a (my) regular breakfast and bread is part of my breakfast. I don't run of energy - while on my walk!
i don't usually eat before going on a walk but i think it would be a good idea to start. i have yogurt and fruit and things, so i don't know why i don't eat them before leaving for my walk. i definitely need to start eating a snack before going on a walk.

This is something I would do If I want to maintain a certain weight because I do not want to burn too much calories all at once --- but since I am a medium to large cubby lady (short & fat), I would drink water, tea or a V8 juice for helping to burn calories off for maintaining --- this works for me and I lose 3-5 pounds a month --- do not forget to check in with your doctor --- What's good for some people, is not always good for others 
I'm glad to see the Oatmeal instead of the bagle! Oatmeal is my fuel in the morning, apple cinnamon flavor, before I head out and a small glass of juice when I get back. :D
I walk in the afternoons. Nothing mentioned sound good to me to want to eat before I head out for my walk. I want to loose weight so.... I never gave it a thought about eating before walking. Guess I'd better consider it. I might feel more energetic if I do. Walk! Walk! Walk!
l never eat before going for my walk.l think is a good idea to eat a little carb to boost your energy.lm going to adapt that system.
