Hey Everyone,
If you keep your body from settling in to a set routine, you’ll get better results. I like to mix up my weekly workouts. Right now I’m training for the LA Marathon so I’m doing a lot of running, sometimes outside and sometimes on the treadmill. The different terrain outdoors forces your body to work harder, but the steady pace of the treadmill keeps you from slowing down.
How do you switch up your routine?
Alison, you are one Star who seems very real to us. Dont see or hear of that often!
Hello,
Walgreen Walking Members
I'm not part of any "Marathons" but I agree with Alison Sweeney --- I do just the same by mixing it up a bit
Recently I have become tired on my excercise routine. So I have begun using a workout video instead of my daily outside walk\run and it's been a fun change!
I am in training for the Long Beach half marathon (13.1 miles), walking of course. I like to reverse the order of my walk. I do a lot of walks in different places around Long Beach. I also, like waking at Bluff Park where I can change my walk by adding stairs, squats, and leg lifts, feels good with a wonderful ocean view!
Good luck with RUNNING the LA maraton. You go girl!!!!!!

I sometimes work out on the elliptical machine or stationary bicycle, so that works different muscles than walking.
My twice weekly fitness class where the instructor changes the routine which everyone likes. We don't repeat the same exercise every time. When I'm at home, I do a different aerobic exercise every other day to change up my routine.
