Before you head out for your walk, be sure that your body has the fuel to keep you going. The last thing you want is to stall in the middle of your workout. About an hour before hitting the pavement or treadmill, grab yourself a snack that will stabilize your blood sugar. Foods high in carbohydrates are best. Bagels, bread, yogurt, and oatmeal are just a few things that’ll give you a boost. You’ll find that with a pre-exercise snack you have more energy for a great walk.
What do you eat before you walk?
I'm glad to see the Oatmeal instead of the bagle! Oatmeal is my fuel in the morning, apple cinnamon flavor, before I head out and a small glass of juice when I get back. :D
I walk in the afternoons. Nothing mentioned sound good to me to want to eat before I head out for my walk. I want to loose weight so.... I never gave it a thought about eating before walking. Guess I'd better consider it. I might feel more energetic if I do. Walk! Walk! Walk!
l never eat before going for my walk.l think is a good idea to eat a little carb to boost your energy.lm going to adapt that system.
I start my day with one slice of fresh pinapple. It keeps me going until lunchtime and is excellent for the digestive system. Since elimination in the body takes place from 4AM to 12 Noon why load up your system before it is ready for more.
I usually walk after breakfast, but if I walk at a different time of day I don't eat extra food (beyond what I normally eat in a day) before the walk. I've never felt a lack of energy.
I love to start with a bowl of oatmeal with fresh raspberries from my garden! But I still need my coffee before I go. Ha Ha!
If I walk in the morning, I will oatmeal and green tea before I head out. Afternoon walks, I usually snack on almonds to give me a boost and energy.
Breakfast is my most important meal of the day. I have oatmeal, cottage cheese and fruit to start my day.
