Walgreens Way to Well Commitment™ is a new initiative to improve the everyday health of Americans nationwide. Our goal is to reach millions of people with prevention education and resources to help prevent today’s leading diseases: heart disease, cancer and diabetes.
That’s why, over the next four years, Walgreens will bring $100 million in preventive health care resources, health testing services and charitable programs to its more than 7,600 stores in thousands of communities nationwide.
Our Walk with Walgreens program was created as an active piece of the Way to Well Commitment™. Made to inspire and motivate Americans, it’s an incredibly simple way for many people to participate in taking steps toward good health together.
As part of the Way to Well Commitment™, Walgreens is working with the nation’s top health organizations, including the American Heart Association, American Cancer Society, Susan G. Komen for the Cure®, American Diabetes Association and Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation. In addition to walking for your health, you can walk to support these important causes. See below to find out how.
Beginning February 1, 2012 through January 31, 2013, 1¢ from the purchase of every Walgreens Brand Health & Wellness Product, up to $3 million annually, will support bringing preventive wellness services to local communities through the Walgreens Way to Well Fund™.
Walgreens Way to Well Fund will provide free preventive health tests, as well as other health and wellness services and education, to local communities. Some of those services will include preventive health tests through the National Urban League Walgreens Wellness Tour and vouchers redeemable in select stores.

Choose You is an empowering movement created by the American Cancer Society that inspires women to put their health first and make healthy lifestyle choices to stay well and help prevent cancer. About half of all cancer deaths could be prevented if people maintained a healthy weight through diet and regular exercise; avoided tobacco products; and got recommended cancer screening tests. The American Cancer Society saves lives and creates a world with less cancer and more birthdays by helping people stay well, helping people get well, by finding cures, and by fighting back against cancer. Visit chooseyou.com and join the movement.
